Months of preparation and before we know it, we are packing up the samples and giving away the last of the freebies! Subcon 2019 is over for another year….
Now in its in 43rd year Subcon has long been established as the must-attend event for subcontract manufacturing buyers from many of the key industry sectors, including automotive, aerospace, energy and rail. These empowered buyers are looking to source suppliers, benchmark capabilities against their competitors, and secure the right partners to help them remain competitive, in an ever-changing global market. Consequently, it provides organisations like ours, an unrivalled platform to showcase products and services directly to these decision-makers.
The three-day show began on Tuesday 4th June and ran through until 6th June. Our exhibition stand was designed, built and installed by AMC Exhibitions Ltd and fulfilled the brief of ‘showcasing the UKF Group and its sub-brands, within an environment that engages with new and existing customers.’
Throughout the event our Sales Team met and talked with an array of prospective buyers, shared a coffee or two with current customers and touched base with some of our key competitors.
As the last of the visitors left and the break-down teams started to arrive we asked Ian Griffiths, Group Sales Director to sum up Subcon 2019.
“ This event has again enabled UKF Group to connect with new, quality prospects, who are looking to expand their network of suppliers, whilst also providing the opportunity to network and strengthen our existing relationships. ”

2018 was our first year exhibiting at Subcon and due to the success of last year we have decided to attend again this year. In the run up to our preparations for the show we caught up with UKF Group Sales Director Ian Griffiths and asked him his thoughts on Subcon.
“As one of the UK’s largest stockholder and processor of stainless steel, this as a great place for us to connect with our existing customer base but also an opportunity to see what our competitors are doing and who is out there that we could work with in the future.”
Our Sales and Technical team will be on hand on to help, inform and offer advice on all our latest products and services. You can find us on stand A40 in hall 3 throughout the duration of the show.
